Ok, I know I have been a wise ass all along saying I never get sick or have any negative side effects! Well, yesterday I had one of those basically hectic days. I was trying to divide myself into several places at once, and ran home to cook a quick supper for my husband. Not to make him feel like I cooked and ran, I sat to eat with him REAL QUICK!! UGH!! Anyway, I ate VERY little, thank God. A minute after I ate it (Speed eating, mind you..) I regretted it. I felt the pressure in my chest and didn't know exactly what to do. I assumed I could wait it out but I really didn't have the time! Unreal! So, I went up to the bathroom and thought.. ok, this needs to go somewhere!! So, I sort of burped and had a little uh.. backwash, shall we say. It came back out and AHHHHH.. did that feel better! The chicken got its revenge on me!! I know it was from eating too fast and not thinking while I ate. Those few bites were not enough to over-fill me, but they were not well chewed, I am sure, and I learned a good lesson. This little bit of a would have been a lot worse had I over-eaten. So, now I got a little sample of what all that talk about feeling like you're going to gag is about!! Frankly, I didn't care for it! Thank you very much! So, from now on, no matter how much of a hurry I am in, I will have to pass on eating if it has to be rushed! Thanks for reading! Rossana RNY 6/13/05 334/280

Rossanna, at 2 years out, I still once in a while get something stuck. And its all because I eat too fast. I can still hear my mom yelling at me, "I don't know why I bother with a plate . . .you just walk by the pot and inhale" . . . nothings changed. I still have to remind myself constantly to put that fork down, chew, and relax between bites. Thankfully I've never gotten "sick", not once . . . but stuck . . . oh yeah! We have to live and learn (yeah, right) not to rush.

Doesn't choke the chicken mean something else....lol(maybe you men know what I am saying). Throwing up is the worst. I did alot of learning at 2 months out. I guess that is why it was all about trial and error for me. I made quite a few mistakes back then but I haven't thrown up in over a month. Just make a mental note for yourself, you will do fine! Take care

LOL!! I used that phrase knowing that it had "another" meaning! I thought it was funny, but that's my warped sense of humor! LOL!! I appreciate the replies! Thanks! I know there are things we have all been doing for a lot of years and it takes a long time (and a good brain-washing) to un-do them! Meanwhile, I'll slow down and try not to be super woman and do 10 things at once! (yeah, right!) Thanks again! Rossana
