Hi Everyone !
A good way to get a board active is to do two things: Welcome new people with a lively greeting.. and to get to know everyone. I am irrepressible when it comes to encouraging people to meet and get to know one another !!
So.. Todays goal for everyone is : Post here and tell us about yourself?
DONT assume we know... but post and tell us.... your name, your status with WLS, (pre surgery, post surgery, interested party, Jupiter exchange student, refuge from Mars - You get the picture 
and other fun things.
Just share things you would like to tell us about YOU.
Write and tell us a little about what you like..what makes you passionate about life? Your interests.. hobbies.... goals...
Write and tell us your questions or things you want to know about WLS?
Or share a story or a rant... this is a good place to vent about those situations you experience that relates to WLS or life in general?

My name is Timothy Ray S.... I go by Timmy Ray.. my nickname here is Sandi's Timmy. I am 41 years young, newly married, (May 16th 2005) and I met my New Jersey wife and love of my life, Sandi, on an OH board here on this web site. She is a post surgery WLS RNY open - and had her surgery in March 2004. She is near goal weight, and in addition to being very beautiful, intelligent and fun, she puts up with *me* (go figure) :P
I grew up near Mt Hood.. in Sandy Oregon. Lived in Oregon from 1963 until 1999. I then lived in or near Davenport, IOWA from 1999 until 2005.
I moved to New Jersey when I married my lovely wife : )))
I am male (duh), six foot two, and I had RNY surgery 12/22/04 about 8 months ago, tomorrow is my eight month anniversary. I weigh about 440 pounds, down about 160 pounds from surgery.
I love people... I talk too much and post WAYYY too long but I am in recovery.. thinking of starting my own Posters annonomus (cant spell either)... **Hi.. Im Timmy Ray and I am a compulsive Poster ((chorus.. HELLO TIMMY RAY ..welcome !!)).
My interests include.... meeting people, computers, teaching, education, encouraging other WLS folks, and generally being a enthusiastic crumudgeon character. I used to love being a bit of a flirt, before my wife chased me... so I am now happily successfully thankfully *married* : ) So ladies... you are very safe... I wasnt much of a threat previously *anyway* hehehehe Flirting was fun but I wasnt very good at it... and I have been tamed by the magnificent and great *Sandi* )))))))
I still love gals but as friends only.. : ) I love people in general.. period
If you are down or sad... I think that being supportive to one another in WLS and recovery is critical, I try and be upbeat and cheery, but sometimes it very hard not to get depressed... been there... LIVED that... so all kidding and laughter aside.... if you need a friend... holler!
There is no reason to isolate, this disease of obesity is a killer... and strikes by getting us alone and defeats us by making us think we are alone.
If you would rather speak or chat with a lady.... tell me that too! I have a wonderful wife as a resource, and as I get to know other people here... I will cheerfully try and refer you to a lady if you need to talk and would rather not yak with a over enthusiastic redneck named Timmy Ray. No worries... just dont isolate... connect... email and post here...and make new friends !!! LADIES... if your open to having people email you that need to talk or need encouragement.... please post here on the board or email and let me know?

Hi Timmy Ray,
I keep trying to post my story, but when I push "I Accept" it says "waiting for obesity help," it takes forever and a day of waiting then it says "done" and nothing happens. I don't get the preview screen at all. Only when I reply to someone is when it works. Please help if you can. I want everyone to get to know me, but they never will if I can't figure out the problem. Hope to be able to get to the chat tonight. Am celebrating my Father's B-Day and don't know when I'll be home. Hope all is well with you and Sandi. All my best, Jen Davis
