getting nervous

:,( I am about to cry, I am 2 weeks from my August 1 surgery date and I have yet to hear from the insurance. The office staff seem to act like this is a common thing. Did anyone out there have a similar situation? Please help put my fears to rest.

Hey Nancy, If you havent heard anything yet call the insurance company on Monday and see where they are at with your approval. It can't hurt....the waiting is so painful!! Let me know what they say.... Sue

hi sue cc at dr.abkins told me not to call the insurance and just try to waite it out. She said sometimes the patient gets involved and messes everything up, she is going for a pre certification.I hope i hear this week, like you it will be 2weeks before surgery. Yeah now that you said that she told me the same thing...it does mess it up for some reason....I hope you hear something real soon!! I think they like driving you nuts I think it is part of the journey....not a good part but all will be good in the end!!
