I'm just a little scared. My PAT's are tomorrow. I heard about scar tissue, bleeding and other dangerous things happening during surgery. Did anyone encounter anything like that?

I had surgery in March and so far I have not had one complication. I have had a very good experience. I will admit though that from the day they called me to schedule my surgery until the minute they put me to sleep I was a wreck. I couldn't eat anything my stomach was in knots, no last treats for me. I think it is very natural to be nervous with any surgery. Hang in there, stay positive and you will do fine.

Thanks for your support. I am having the surgery at the Baractric Center in Langehore Pa. It is an excellent facility. The doctor and staff are great. I had my pre-admission testing yesterday and all went well. They teased me that i am a boring patient becuase I am healthy except for the obesity. They did blood work, xrays, ultra sound, the doc checked me over, nutitrionalist was awesome, the pulmunary doc did the breathing test and the ekg. All went well. No cholestrol problem, no high blood pressure, ekg great, breathing was excellent. Blood work was perfect. Not one problem. So I feel so much better now and I can't wait for the surgery. 17 days and counting. Hope all works well for you. Thanks again, Kim
