Hi guys, I'm looking for info/photos on plastic surgery. I am very interested in the scarring and how everthing heals. I'm not ready yet but I know it's coming. I've lost 105 lbs and I can see already that by the time I reach my goal I am not going to have a choice. Most of the websites I've been to, don't show any scars. I'm interested in the lower body lift, thighs, arms and maybe a breast lift. Thanks.

I've had all of that -- a lower body lift in Jan, a breast lift with augmenation and arms in May, and just had the inner thighs done this month. As far as scarring, it really depends on multiple issues -- first, the technique and type of stitches that your Dr does -- I researched this one a lot beforehand and looked at lots of others "scars" for comparison purposes. Second, your age, skin type and complextion. Thirdly, over time, while still visible, the scars fade and flatten out. Although I don't draw attention to them, I don't try to hide them either. They are my "battle scars" of my last two year fight to regain my health and myself and I'm proud of them. I don't have any pics of my scars, but would be happy to discuss with you further.

Dr Joseph Capella in Ramsey did all my surgeries -- check out my profile for more detailed info. In contrast, although I interviewed five different PS surgeons, Dr Joe was the most reasonable and was most willing to try and get me insurance approval, which he did on my lower body lift, which resulted in me only having about a $1,500 OOP expense for that procedure. E-mail me privately if you want info on how I got that covered. None of the other surgeries were covered by my insurance, and I took out a personal loan to cover the cost -- about the cost of a car -- of which I am more valuable. Almost all paid off now though. Dr Joe is the best. Feel free to use my name when you see him, and tell him I recommended him to you. Good luck. Hugs, Nannette
