Support Group in South Jersey

Hi I'm new to all of this. I was wondering if there was a support group in the south jersey area (maybe atlantic city). I saw there are meetings in the Vineland area. Do I have to be post op???

Hi! There is a support group meeting the last Wednesday of everymonth at 7pm. It is held at the fittness center across the street from the Hospital. (on the 2nd floor) There are people at all stages of the journey. I went prior to having my surgery and I will be there 6/22 which will be 4 weeks after. I'm syked now because I am on the losing side of things... Well maybe I will see you there, good luck! Shaun

In addition to that one, there is also a new support group meeting AT the hospital. It's supposed to meet every other Monday at 6PM, but due to scheduling conflicts it will not meet again until Monday, July 11. We're just getting this group underway, but there are pre-op and post-op folks there. The new South Jersey Hospital Regional Medical Center is just east of Route 55 (Exit 29) on Sherman Avenue in Vineland. The Fitness Center is a block east at the corner of Sherman and Orchard. Hi Joe. Where do I go when I come to the new meeting @ the hospital Monday July 11? I will be 4 weeks out on 6/22. I am starting to feel like I need to talk to more people who have been there. I am going to the meeting on 6/22 and I will also go to the one 7/11! It looks like you are doing an awesome job!!! Thank you for the information. Shaun

Well I see Joe beat me to it...as I was going to invite you to the next meeting on July 11th! Joe - How is Angel doing? Is she home yet?

I was with Angel on Thursday night at the hospital. She was having some surgical discomfort and "agita" (upset stomach and lots of burping). She was concerned that the experience was worse than she expected. But her health is stable and she was scheduled to be released Friday afternoon. I told her I'd wait for her to call me when she was settled in at home, but she didn't call tonight. If she doesn't call me tomorrow, I'll give her a call. Hope you're doing well, Hara. I'll be at the Wednesday night meeting at Fitness Connection and the Friday night meeting in Pitman. Maybe you can make it to one of those. See ya! Joe

Ok, Im confused. The 6/22 meeting is in Atlantic City?? and on what street. And the 7/11 meeting is in Vineland. Thanks

I'm sorry, Sharon. Both of those meetings are in Vineland. The 6/22 meeting is at the Fitness Conenction on Sherman and Orchard. The 7/11 meeting is at the hospital on Sherman at Route 55. I don't know anything about meetings in Atlantic City. Sorry for the confusion.
