The real deal with protein
Can someone give me the skinny on protein. I need a swift kick in the you know what to get on track, right now I am 4 weeks post op and can only take about 20oz protein per day, in the form a liquid. Of course I eat foods rich in protein, but how much am I really getting via solid food. I see the nutrtitionist on Tues, but I'm looking for something other than a textbook answer
You can't get all your protien from food at this point ........Have to drink protein shakes......Like whey or isopure.......I ate alot of cottage cheese early out easy to go down and half a cup is 12 grams of protein, alot of yougart.... string cheese....but just do the best you can with it.......In time you will be able to tolerate more......your still healing the main thing is that you drink alot of water.....
