lap band pre op prep Dr Bertha

My friend was just approved for lap band with dr bertha. she forgot to ask what bowel preop if any is needed. any body know? \ thanks Tracy

Hi Tracy, I dont know if the bowel prep is the same for the band as for RNY but I had Dr. Bertha and had to drink Fleets the day before. Hope this helps!! Sue

Tracy, I would highly reccomend that your friend call the office and ask one of the nurses what his requirements are. You don't need to speak to the Dr. directly so I am sure someone can help you on the spot. Kathy
