No good news today.

Well today was not a great day... I just found out that I am a diabetic. Well I was told my surgery date so I guess that was the good news. anyway I'm really bummed out about the diebetic thing. phil

Phil, Chin up !! You will find dozens of people on these boards who were diabetics before their surgeries and it was resolved shortly after. Rejoice that you already have a date !! I know this is all hard for you because of your sister but try to look on the bright side. Hopefully in about 6 weeks time you will be on the road to a healthier you. Kathy

I was diabetic before surgery, took a pill to contol it every day. They gave me two shots of insulin in the hospital after surgery but haven't needed a thing since I have been home. My blood sugar has been normal since 2 days after surgery. So chin up! Enjoy the journey!
