Malabsorbtion

I am still pre-op and from what the Doctor said there is a lot of responsibility post-op such as take vitamins (very important). -phil

Hi Phil, The doctor is absolutely right. There are huge responsibilities. I have taken my vitamins from the day I came home after surgery and have never stopped taken them. I had my blood work done regularly and it wasn't until 5 years post-op that these deficiencies arose. There is nothing I could have done to prevent it. From what I understand, this is a very common risk after 5 years from surgery. Good luck to you with your surgery. Be healthy.
