Monmouth/Ocean County - Any Advice?

I had lap band with Dr Borao and lost 50 lbs in 7 months......my friend had by-pass with him and is down more than 100 in a year. He is a very gifted DR and recommended by the best in NY at New York Hospital. We both had very good experiences. All his surgery is done by laproscope so the healing time is very quick. Try one of the support meetings......Good Luck in your journey.

Maria, I live in Jackson, and work in Neptune. I had my WLS in Langhorne PA at the Barix Clinic (Bariatric Treatment Center at the time). I can't say enough about the staff/surgeon/facility, and if someone who has their mind made up to HAVE WLS asked me, I'd recommend that place. Unfortunately, some people do experience complications. I almost went to your sister's dr, but didn't have the up front $$ either. Turns out I ended up paying ABOUT that much AFTER my WLS, but at least I had the option of paying a little at a time! I didn't like their ways, there in N Brunswick. It felt shady. I'm sure many people had success there but it wasn't for me. Sandi
