I'm home from the hospital - was in there 3 days, everything was fine. Last night & today I have horrible gas pains, it doesn't seem to come out. I'm have one medicine the doctor gave me for pain but it doesn't seem to work, I'm not confortable & have a small fever. I'm still on liquids. Any suggestions?!!!

Hi Amy- Ugh... i remember those gas pains. The best reliever for me was just to walk, walk, walk. All around the living room LOL. Gas X helps a little. Make sure you get the chewables and chew them until they are liquid. Try lying on the side you have the gas pains if you can, the pressure helps sometimes. I was flapping my right arm up and down like a bird to get the gas pressure to release LOL. Keep your chin up, it only lasts a little while. Feel better- welcome to the losing side! -Janine

Thank you so much for responding. The gas pains have subsided. Trying the protein shakes now, hopefully will do well. Amy

Gas X Chewables! Be careful that you are not "slurping"your liquids, especially hot one, that puts air in your pouch. Also, I found that I was much more lactose intolerant post op. and using protein suppliments that did not contain lactose helped stop the gas. GOod luck
