OT: HELP CREDIT REPORT

I KNOW THIS ISN'T ABOUT WLS SO IT MIGHT GET PULLED BEFORE ANY OF U SEE IT ANYWAY BUT I'MA TAKE MY CHANCES......... OK I STARTED OUT ALMOST 4,000 IN DEBT BUT I'VE BEEN MONTHLY PAYMENTS AND NOW I STILL OWE 3,000....I WANNA APPLY FOR A LOAN TO BUY A HOUSE BUT WHEN IS A GOOD TIME THAT I SHOULD DO THIS,, WHEN MY CREDIT IS PAID OFF?? OR WHEN I GET IT DOWN TO 1,000?? DO ANY OF U HAVE BAD CREDIT IN STILL GOT A LOAN FOR A HOUSE??? PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I NEED HELP GETTIN OUT THIS NEIBORHOOD. THANX IN ADVANCE

Hey Cozette i am having the same problem but my debt is way more than what you have so i would think there shouldnt be a problem. I would suggest calling the USDA Rural Development Program in your area you can get the number from 411, they help in getting low interest loans for people with low low- to moderate income and your credit doesn't have to be perfect. I am in the process know, i just sent in my application for approval about 1wk ago . but the only stipulation is that you have to live in a rural area, but the good thing is you can have a house built or you can buy a house that is already built it just has to be in an approved area of NJ. You can always go to their website and get more info, but i think it is a really good program considering the interest for their loans can be no higher than 6% but it could also be as low as 1% it all depends on your income. Cozette, If you have an acct at a local bank, go in and talk to a loan officer. They can advise you what to do. Sometimes a bank will make a loan even if you have debt, and will lend you the extra amt so you can pay it off. If you have a copy of your credit report you can bring that to show them. It just doesn't depend as much on your debt amt, but depends on what your credit score is. JG

Hi Cozette, 4 years ago my husband and I bought our first house in Willingboro. We went through a company called American Dream. They help first time buyers obtain mortgages. Here is the info. They were great, and got us a nice house. We both had bankruptcies on our credit reports, so if you owe 3K, I am sure they can get you something, that is not alot of money to owe in debt, we only wish we only owed that little.
