stricture?

hi all. what's a stricture? sue

If I am not mistaken, and please someone correct me if I am, it is a narrowing of the opening where the pouch empties into the intestine. I believe that it can happen by food getting stuck, or by scar tissue healing over part or all of the opening. It does happen sometimes and they usually just us a special scope and "stretch" the opening back up. Some signs of a possible stricture could be Can't keep solid food down at all Can only eat liquid like soup or broth, Not feeling well in general Hugs Diane
