Post-op Ulcers or Hernias - any info?

I am 7 1/2 months out and for the past week have had some pain in my abdominal area. It feels like muscle pain, not sharp, but constant and sore. I was on alot of medication for bronchitis 2 weeks ago and I was vomitting and very sick. I wonder if this is just a backlash from that? I am keeping food down fine this week and going to the bathroom properly, but I have this ache! I fear hernias and ulcers so I phoned my surgeon and he said to get back on my Prevacid and I am seeing him next week to make sure the pain improves. His concern is an ulcer. So, Does anyone here know about ulcers or hernias post-op...symptoms, stories, etc....I just want to know what I may need to look out for. Dee Smith RNY 05/21/04 329/233/170?
