HOME/THANKS ALL!!
Well I made it guys!! I had my surgery on Wednesday morning and was in recovery by 8pm that evening. Everything went very well and my surgeon said it couldn't have gone any better. I am 3 days out and I feel great. I have no pain at all and I am tolerating chicken soup broth, jello, crystal light and water very well and I am able to take my meds whole without crusing them. I do feel a bit hungry after not eating anything but liquids for the past 2 weeks, but I'm not starving. I think I am feeling a little too good because I tend to want to push myself to do more than I should right now. I do still have a drain in, which isn't grossing me out as bad as I thought it would. Doc will prob take it out Monday when I go see him for my 1st appt. The incisions are so tiny from the surgery, it is truly amazing, no stitches. I was very blessed to have an excellent surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner, he actually held my hand and stayed with me for a while in the OR until I was completely awake from the anesthesia and not crying anymore..lol. The nurses in icu? Well that was another story, but I made it through. Thank you all for your prayers and for thinking of me, I could not have made it without all of your support and understanding. God Bless!!

Hello Susan
I am so happy that you posted to tell us that everything is fine. Just remember that you will feel exhausted and that is normal. Just do what the doctor tells you. If you have any questions or concerns just post or e-mail. It is like a out of body experience and even though we have never met, I just can't believe you had the surgery. It seems like it took forever for you to get approve. I am so happy for you and know this is a wonderful adventure you are entering. Take care and talk to you later.
Hugs
Kathy
