I am a little concerned

Hi everyone, I am 45 days post op and have been doing good. My concern is that approximately every hour or two I feel a sensation of pain, or gas in my stomach. To make it clearly, what I feel is like when someone spend a complety day without eating anything, that disconfort or pain is what I feel. As soon as I eat something, it goes away. The doctor told me that only if after eating I feel more pain, then it could be an ulcer. But mine looks like hunger pain eventhough sometimes I am not hungry at all when it happens. Have you had this feeling? Armanda

Yes, I had this. I would get that feeling just like you describe. I don't get it anymore though. I was taking Viactiv calcium chews post op until I could take my preferred calcium supplements. When I ran out of Viactiv I switched to Tums for calcium and that pain went away. I don't know if it was related to taking the Tums, but it sure seemed that way. irene
