CAPE MAY COUNTY!

Does anyone know if there is a local support group for Cape May County residents? I am having WLS (lap band) in January 2005. Thanks

The closest one I know of to cape may county is in Somers Point. It is run by a wonderful woman named Sheila Baroni. They meet at the Somers Point Library on the 1st tuesday of every month at 7pm. She lives in beesley point and you can contact her by looking up her number or calling information for it Sheila is a great success story and welcomes all pre and post op patients. You should try to go ASAP because there is a ton of info she can give to help you thru pre-op and getting ready for surgery Hugs Diane

hi, there is one at burdette tomlin memorial hosp on the second wed. of each month. you might want to call to make sure. i was going to my first one this month and got my days mixed up! i'm trying for next month.

There is a support group at Burdette, they meet once a month. I dont know what day but if you call them you can find out. also my doctor (dr onopochenko) does his support groups out of English Creek at the atlanticare building. best of luck with your upcoming surgery. kelly

Hello! I am a post bandster and live near Vineland! It is hard to find lap-band support! Sheila Baroni IS a awesome lady! She is Post RNY...but is so willing to help all! You can find RNY/WLS help but not Lap-Band! I have not been to support group yet...but they have one at Bacharach one day a month,,,and some bandsters are getting together for this..If you are interested . email me!
