surgery mess is finally over.
as of october 6th i am a loser! so far i have lost 11 pounds. i went through surgery ok but suffered with the morphine. i had dry heaves for a while. i am home now and thanks to my loving husband i am doing aok. the smell of food makes me nausous. the gas pains are the worst. but i live another day!
I'm glad you had a sucessful surgery. Best of luck to you with your recovery and weight loss. Congrats on the 1st 11 lbs

Welcome to the losing side!!!
As my surgeon told me the first two weeks are going to be hell but in time you will be doing better. Your journey is really just beginning (pre-op is like waiting for the plane to take off) and it's a little bumpy now but the plane will level off and the ride will become smoother in time.
Don't worry about the smell of food making you nausous. It still happens to be at more than a year out. I guess it's just the nature of the beast.
