NEED HELP FINDING A DR. THAT TAKES MY INSURANCE

Hi I am in DESPERATE need of finding a Dr. that takes my ins. I have University Health Plan it is an HMO through Nj family care/kid care through medicaid I did find one Dr. in Orange but he is in the process of droping my ins. company...I am willing to go to a Dr. in Middlesex,Union, Essex, and Hudson county, my insurance company has been NO help they wont even give me a name of a surgen...I f anyone can help me it would be VERY much appreciated!!!!!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Tammy, I have not had surgery yet, but I have chosen a surgeon. I don't know what insurances he takes and he is not in any of the counties that you mentioned. He is in Morris county. I love him if you want you can call his office and ask about insurance. Fran, Thank you sooo much for your response I am going to call them on monday and see if they will take my insurance (I cross my fingers) I don't mind traveling I just want this weight off my body... I read your profile and my girlfriend had the filters put in before her surgery and everything went great for her, I sure it will be the same for you... Tammy, You are very welcome, I hope that they will take your insurance plan. It's certainly worth a try. You mentioned that your friend had the Greenfield filter put in, was she put to sleep for this procedure and did it hurt ? I just want an idea of what happens and I forgot to ask Dr. Abkin. Hi Fran, Yes she was put to sleep when they did the filters, she said it didn't hurt,but after the she had her surgery and they took out the filters she said she was a little sore, but not to bad... Have a great night.......Tammy

I got in touch with Dr. Abkin today and YES he takes my insurance I go to the seminar on 9/9 then I get my appt. thank you so much you were such a great help!!!!! HI TAMMY, MY NAME IS HALIMA AND I ALSO HAVE NJ FAMILY/KIDCARE BUT I HAVE THE HMO-AMERCHOICE WHICH PAID FOR EVERYTHING. MY SURGEON WAS DR. JORDAN GARRISON WHO HAS AN OFFICE IN NEWARK, NJ AT SAINT MICHAEL'S MEDICAL CENTER. GIVE THEM A CALL HE JUST MIGHT ACCEPT YOUR INSURANCE TOO.

MY INSURANCE COVERED EVERYTHING LEADING UP TO THE SURGERY AND ALL NECESSARY VISITS AFTERWARDS.
