I went to my family doctor today. I was there three weeks ago and I only lost 8 lbs. in that 3 week period. I am 7 weeks post of and I only lost 47 lbs. I feel that I should have lost more. I hear people lossing 60 etc in 2 months. Is this normal. I am only eating 2 oz.three times a day. I have a fear of not losing weight. I even brought a scale today so I can weigh my self everyday. There is no reason for you to be discouraged. The weight will come off. Our bodies know what to do, and sometimes they need a little break from the weight loss. Hang in there and focus on doing what you can control - food, water and exercise. Ditch the scale. Trust me, it'll come off. I remember seeing a post on the main board from someone that lost so much weight in the initial post op period that he ended up with a permanent nerve disorder. He had lost in excess of 100 lbs in a month, I think. See, you *can* lose it too fast. irene

Kathy: I agree with my good friend Irene. Just hang in there and keep doing the right things. The weight will come off. Just keep the faith and follow your surgeons plan. Jesse

I know how you feel Kathy. At my 3 week chck up I had lost 38 lbs and the at my 6 week check up I had lost only 7 more which made my total loss 45 lbs. I was feeling a little sad about that. But the people started remindig me that I didn't put the weight on that fast. And I went shoppig for a new shirt or 2. I was feelig like I wasn't losing cause I could still fit in my size 30/32 clothes and they didn't seem baggy to me. Well I went shopping and right now I have a 22/24 top on. I'm feeling much better now. They say you shouldn't weigh yourself everyday.Lucky for me I can't do that, My scale doesn't read that high. But stay positive the weight will come off.

Today is my 12 week anniversary and I've lost 47 lbs. You're way ahead of me. You're doing great. Keep up the good work.
