Got surgery date, quitting smoking!

Got surgery date of Aug 30th. Can't believe it is finally going to happen for me! I must quit smoking, have been trying for several weeks. I know I just need to do it, my fiance has even offered to quit and has gotten the nicotrol inhaler. I appreciate the support, but am still having a hard time. I know I just need to do it! Surgeon requires I quit, and I know I will be better off! Anyone else have a problem quitting?

Just wanted to update, surgery date moved up to Aug 17th. And I have quit smoking. It was actually easier than I thought. I just keep reminding myself that if surgery is what I really want (and it is) than this is just something I must do.
