NJ State Disability Insurance

I have disability insurance through my employer, but they have told me that I must apply to NJ State disability insurance. Evidently, NJ is one of five states who provide temporary disability benefits. I'm not sure I understand it all - can anybody help?

I only know a little bit of inforation. After you use your sick days, you can apply for disability insurance until the doctor says you can go back to work. He needs to fill out paper and some time it takes weeks. You need to talk to someone in the office of disability insurance. Good luck Kathy
