Hi Everyone: It's been 33 weeks since my surgery and to say the least it's been an amazing ride. The dedication to following the basic tennets of Protein, Water and Exercise has resulted in a 166 pound weight loss. I'm feeling better than ever and not to toot my own horn, I look great too. I know to some that losing 166 pounds in a little less than 8 months may not make for a compelling story but in my eyes, after years of lack of success in dieting, this is an amazing story. Going from 373 pounds to 207 pounds should be worth celebrating whether or not you do something like jump out of planes or run marathons. Just having a healthier life free of medication and pain should warrant celebration. Till next time, Jesse 373/207/-166

Jessee, all i can say is WOW! you have been so upbeat and such an inspiration to so many on here. You should be so PROUD of yourself for all your sucess and accomplishments this past eight months. I only hope God smile on me half as much as he has you on this journey. I had dietary consult last week and will start the diet this week as I was working 4 12 hr shifts in a row and have not had the timeto go buy all I needed to do the low glycemic diet she wants me to do. It is such an amazing reality learning all the things I ahve done WRONG thinking I was doing the RIGHT thing for my diet with my diabetic diet! Anyway Kudos for you! thanks for all the upbeat energy! God Bless Joyce

Hi Jesse, You look fantastic! I am 6 weeks out and can you give me any tips on losing so much weight? I feel like I'm not losing enough weight. I have only lost about 40 lbs. and feel like I'm going to slow. What kinds of foods are you eating? I just started exercising as well so I hope that will help. Any advise you can give me would be great. Thank you. Rosemary

Rosemary: Remember this is a marathon and not a sprint. We all lose weight at different rates and generally men lose faster than women. Don't compare yourself with others like its a competition or something. You will get to your goal so just let it happen at its own pace. Just follow the plan of Protein, Water and Exercise. The exercise will assist you in losing weight but remember to build up your exercise and be consistant. Come up with a plan and dedicate yourself to it. Best of everything, Jesse
