Congratulations on your little girl ......seems like you have your hands full also. My boys are now 3 yrs (Jan) and 2 yrs (March), which recovering from surgery was not an easy task, but doable after 3 wks of help. I try not to pick them up to prevent hernia, but its easier said than done. I'm down 31 lbs, but haven't lost in 2 wks, guess one of those darn plateaus everyone talks about......disappointed but will get over it. Bottom line, I feel great, have more energy to play with my kids, enjoy the parks, and my insulin requirements went from 80/day to 30/day! I'm even off my cholestrol meds. Hi, Dr. Slotman does have a support group that meets at the Wellness Ctr on Haddon Ave in Collingswood....pre-ops its the 2nd Tuesday and post-ops is the 3rd Tuesday. I attended the first pre-op back in Sept, and met alot of Slotman's patients, however, I changed surgeons for personally reasons and my surgeon has his own so I don't attend anymore. I believe its $15 for the 2 hr support group. I don't have the number on hand, but call information or ask your dr's office. Now there is another support group called SJ Bariatric Support System, a few woman started back in someone's house and is now at the Bankbridge School in Sewell every other Friday night, 7-9pm, in fact there meeting tonight. My family & I have a stomach virus so I'll keep my germs at home tonight! If you'd like more info or would like to go next mtg, e-mail me. Take care, Wendy
