just a quick question

I had my pre-op class and I forgot to ask~ if anyone has had surgery at Morristown Memorial, do you get a private room or do you have a room mate? I have surgery on Tuesday and was just curious....Thank you

It usually depends on your insurance. Most insurances don't cover private rooms. Good luck Tuesday! Denise

Hi Sue! Good luck with your surgery Tuesday! I had mine at Overlook Hospital in Summit and they only give post-op WLS patients private rooms. I actually had to wait in ICU for 7 hours until a private room was available because the hospital policy is private only for our type of surgery! My surgeon said its for comfort reasons - it really didn't matter much to me though because surgery was on monday 3/15 - I was in ICU until tuesday at 5pm and then went home the following morning at 11am so I barely spent anytime in the room! I will be thinking of you Tuesday - I'm sure all will go great - I heard MMH is a great hospital. Debi F
