6 Month Anniversary

Hi Everyone: Today marks six months since my surgery and it has and continues to be a remarkable journey. I weighed in today at 200 pounds. That's a 153 pound loss in only six months. I have gone from a 54 waist to a 38, 3XL shirts to Medium, 22 inch neck to a 17 1/2 and feel tremendous. I have people ask tell me often that they admire me for having the courage to go through surgery. I kind of understand where they are comming from but in my mind it does not take courage to embark on this journey. It take determination and the desire to want to change your life for the better. I get the sense as I read some posts that some are very fearful because they are afraid that they will fail. I did not embark on this journey to fail and failure never enters my mind. To all that are considering WLS do not succomb to the naysayers and have an attitude that you will not fail. Yes, things happen and there may be setbacks but find a way, any way to overcome and continue on your journey. If you give up on yourself, others will give up on you too. I must acknowledge my surgeon, Dr. Jordan Garrison for doing an fantastic job, to his office manager Donna for letting me use her surgery date, to my support groups for their encouragement, to all of you for your wisdom and knowledge, and to my wife for being by my side every step of the way. Of course the journey continues and I look forward to many more successes. Oh, by the way, Damn I look good (LOL). Just an inside joke to the vanity challenged. Till next time, Jesse 373/220/-153

YOU GOO BOY!!!! Boy I cant wait til lthe day I can post before and after shots. I am scheduled for April 29th. I will be at St. Barnabas hospital. I hope and pray all goes well that I am able to keep my date. Still waiting fro insurance approval. I have to get a sleep test done for them...They require it for approval. so i am scheduled to do that this week. Just wanted to give you a shout out and telly you that YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!
