jENNIFER,
CONGRADULATIONS ON A SUCESSFULSURGERY! I CAN
WAIT I GO FOR THE FIRST MEETING MARCH 30TH FOR INFO AND BELEIVE ME I WILL BE CALLING THE DOC'S PRE CERT TEAM ASAP!
ANYWAY, AS FOR YOUR GAS PROBLEM, I WORK IN A HOSPITAL AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT HELPS WITH THE GAS IS WALKING AS MUCH AS YOU CAN EVEN IN THE HOUSE. ALL THAT AIR IS TRAPED FORM THE SURGEY WITH THEM MOVING THINGS AROUND...DID YOU HAVE LAP OR OPEN?? ANYWAY TRY WALKING AND SEE IF IT HELPS. IT MAY SEEM LIKE IT IS SILLY BUT IT REALLY WORKS. AFTER I HAD MY OPEN HYSTROCETOMY IN 1999 AS SOON AS I WAS ALLOWED UP I WALKED LAPS AROUND! I HAVE SEEN PATIENTS SUFFER FROM THE GAS PAINS AND I DID NOT WANT THEM AND HAD VERY LITTLE. I SIPED GINGER ALE IT HELPED ME BURY BUT I DON'T THINK YOUR ALLOWED TO DO THAT SO NO CARBONATED BEVERAGES!!! ANYWAY GOOD LUCK LET ME KNOW IF IT HELPS
