Diff. between Long Limb Procedure and reg. procedure

Hello, Can someone tell me the difference between the Long Limb Procedure and the regular gastric bypass? I have a consultation set up with Dr. Abkin next week. Thanks.

Rosemary,, If you are concerned because of my question.. if you don't have Highmark BC/BS you should be ok. If you look back in the postings.. someone answered your question for me. Long Limb is the only procedure Abkin/Bertha do.. I have to believe that it is safe and not experimental as they are the top Docs at Morristown. Check with your insurance company.. procedure code is 43847. Good luck!
