I definitely signed the petition. Insurance companies should cover this surgery - I am going through consultation right now, but I know I will probably have problems with my insurance because they require so much weight management documentation under a doctor's care. I have tried every diet known to man, none of which was ordered by my doctor. But why should the insurance companies deny people that want to help themselves....Don't you think that by having this surgery would probably cut down on people having long term problems without it. In the long run it would probably save the insurance companies money by not having people with problems that have to be on medication the rest of their lives for diabetes, high blood pressure, etc........
