Anyone have Horizon B/C B-shield Insurance

If anybody has this insurance could you tell me how they were with approvals, tests, etc. How long and such??? Thanx Sharon

I do , I was denied for pre existing condition. No Problem with testing I don t mean to discourage you . Your case might be different. I heard others poeple have been approved pretty quickly . Each case is different . Good luck.

I was approved by Horizon BC/BS in under a week, and they paid for all pre-op testing and post op care as well. They were fantastic to work with! ( I did have many comorbidities, don't know if that sped up the process or not)

I have BCBS PPO and was approved in less than a week (after the doctor's office finally sent them the paper work). I'm almost three weeks post op now. I also work for BCBSNJ and can tell you that it depends on which plan you have. Some plans have specific exclusions for weight loss surgery. Others have pre-existing conditions...etc. Good luck to you.
