Strange journey

I am home and recuperating after very sucessful surgery on Oct. 27th. Dr. Brolin did a wonderful job and now I'm starting my new life and want all the help I can get. Please feel free to write to me any tips to help me get along this journey. It's been strange getting here because I started out going for a Lapband and had a failed surgery on Aug. 11th. My surgeon then,Dr. Borao, put me in touch with Dr. Brolin and the rest is just great. I go to get my outside staples removed tomorrow. It's been a long, hard time with 2 surgeries ,but I look forward to every day from now on!

Jack: Hope you are feeling better. Just remember to walk, walk, walk and drink, drink, drink.

Hi again Jack - thanks for writing me yesterday. One of the foods I used a lot early on post op was lentil soup, topped with shredded cheese and a bit of salt and pepper. It was warm, filling and tasty without being "pureed" and went down easy. Try it, you'll like it -- drink and walk, drink and walk -- Look forward to seeing you at the Ocean County WLS Support meeting on November 21st. Let me know if you need anything -- Regards (Lap RNY 6/16/03, 336/246/?)

Hi Jack, Congratulations on the surgery. I am also going to Dr Brolin, still waiting on my INS approval. How did you like him? Did you have your surgery at Princeton Medical Center? Getting a little nervous would love some in put. Best of luck with the rest of your journey. Georgette
