I am going to have the open gastric by pass and I was wondering if anyone recommended a medication that will help reduce scarring.

I also had open (I'm 6 weeks today). The best is anything with Vitamin E. They have some new scar creams out but I haven't tried them yet. I'm on enough meds! LOL! I wanted to try some more natural things first. Bath and Body Works also has a "Skin Rejuvenating" cream that I have been using that's very good, (comes in some great scents too). After 6 weeks I'm still red, but the Dr says it looks like it's healing great. Good luck!
