Need suggestion for Psych Eval / Horizon BC/BS

Help! I have prelim approval from ins co but Dr. wants psych eval. Anyone know of someone in Central/North Jersey Area who takes NJBC/BS? Should I be looking for a psychiatrist or psychologist? thanks

i believe you can go to either doc. i went to a psychologist. i went to a woman (can't remember her name off hand) at robert wood. real nice lady. but anyway, if you call your insurance company and tell them where you live, they should be able to give you names of doc's who take your insurance.

Hi Pat, you should definately call your insurance company and they can recommend someone. Also, generally for a psych eval, you should see a psychologist. A psychiatrist deals with mental health meds more than mental health assessments. good luck! leah
