New to the site- looking for surgeon

Hi Everyone, I live in Northern NJ and am in the process of finding a surgeon, my insurance will pay as long as Dr. & hospital are in Network. So far it looks like, Dr. Goodman, Dr. Holup, Dr Capella and Dr. Schmidt are in my plan. Can anyone give feedback regarding one or more of the surgeons named above? I'm very confused! Thanks Donna

Donna, welcome! The only 2 I'm familiar with, thru other WLS friends: Dr Capella only does open surgery; Dr. Schmidt has a lot of fans in my support group at Hackensack Hospital, great reputation, but its my understanding it'll take you a while to get an appointment with him. I used Dr. Ballantyne - because he was a CIGNA doctor and was totally thrilled. Good luck, Linda
