Can anyone help???

I live in the NJ area and am interested in having the LAP band procedure. Is there no one in the area that does this procedure that will accept Tricare Prime insurance?

Hi Stacey, In your neck of the woods, I don't believe there's anyone who does LAP bands. I think you're going to have to look up north. Most of the doctors in the South Jersey area do either open RNY or Lap RNY. I haven't heard of anyone who does LAP band in South Jersey. Good luck in your search! Denise

United Surgical Associates in Staten Island (not that far from you) does LapBand. Their number is 718 226 1300. There are three Drs on staff that all work together (McMullen, Nicastro, Coppa). Surgery is at Staten Island University Hospital on Seaview Avenue.

Stacy, I am having a Lap Band done on Aug.11th at Monmout Medical Center by Dr. Frank Borao from Shrewsbury. I don't know if accepts your insurance, but he is highly recomended surgeon. Hope this helps, Jack Martin
