Surgery scheduled with Dr. Mehta

I'm scheduled to have surgery next Monday (6/30) with Dr. Mehta at St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick. I've heard wonderful things about him and have spoken with some who have lost as much as 140 pounds to date! I never considered having this surgery. Well, I considered it, but never thought I'd opt for an "optional" surgery since I've had so many reproductive-related surgeries. My latest abdominal problem arose in February when my gynecologist noticed that I had a growing incisional hernia. The need to have the hernia taken care of, and the fact that two doctors strongly suggested this WLS procedure to avoid future hernia problems has brought me to where I am right now.
