Hi all..question

I had my surgery 2 yrs and now my friend wants to have weight loss surgery and the insurance she has is Medicaid with HMO horizon njhealth.... Anyone know of any surgeons on nj that accept that?

I appreciate your help?

Which type of surgery is she looking at?  (different docs do different types for different insurances)   If she can narrow down her focus....  I'm sure we can offer suggestions!

She might also want to try calling her insurance company directly.  They would be able to tell her who is in her network in her area.  Also her insurance company might have information on their website.  I would start there first.

NJ has only one vetted NJ DS surgeon, Dr. David Greenbaum.  I have no personal contact with him/his office, but , if you go to the DS board, there seems to be MANY people who rate him highly.  If you do a search on his name, and limit it to the DS board, not the entire site,  you'll be able to read the posts about him.  I'm not sure, I know he used to take Medicaid...  but haven't kept up with the current info.  
If she's willing to cross the bridges/tunnels, there are a few more in NYC.  Good Luck to your friend!    Mary  C

she can go to Manhattan, there are several choice and they take all insurances,  ny preb/ cornell,  or lenox hill,   i saw them all and had no problem with insurance.
