R O L L C A L L !!!
I'm Mary....from North Jersey, I've lost 260 pounds, need but am not having plastics, am still faithful with my vitamins, blood work, etc., I had the duodenal switch surgery, so if ya want, ask me about that one! It's not a popular choice, so there's a lot of missing/wrong info out there.... OH is my support group, but I like the social aspect of the IGT's. I get to meet people who are successful with all types of surgery. I try to post something interseting about NJ every week, a trivia fact, but sometimes I get behind!! Mary C
Hi, I'm Dana and I'm almost 2yrs out from my revision to a DS. I haven't reached goal weight, but I'm plugging along with my vitamins and protein and hoping for the best results further down the road. I love my DS and after having the RNY for 8 years am so thankful for the option.
Yeah, I usually stay away from the Jersey board because, well, nothing happens here. I'll try to make more visits etc. It would be nice to have a support group nearby here in Northern Jersey, but OH works fine for me.

A DS is an duodenal switch. The best place to become educated about the operation is at this site. www.dsfacts.com

I have my protein shake each morning, My shakes are protein, spinach, tofu, plain yogurt .mmmmm yummy! I put my vitamins in this yummy shake.
Ok I know what face you must be making but thats only part of it ,I add Jello sugar free pudding to it,pistachio some days ,banana cream others, vanilla, chocolate. I had this morning my shake with pumpkin puree with out sugar, banana cream sugar free pudding, cinnamon and splenda. this is so good, and the shake with pistachio mmmmmmmmm o my go****'s heaven!
I try to take as much protein in this shake as I can thats why I put the tofu and everything else.
My pouch does not want meat.
I im not going to a group, I want to go! I have had problems finding the place of my support group the one of my surgeon, I go in to facebook and there I have a lot of Gastric bypass friends, and in OH I am starting to show up.
I hope to make lots of friend here specially we are all in NJ.

Hi my name is Grace and I am fat...well less fat than I used to be but still fat nonetheless.
I had Realize Band surgery on December 10, 2009. I have lost 78 lbs in the past year and a half 42 lb of which was pre-surgery. Much like Kimi- I often question if the band was the right surgery for me, but when I lay down in bed at night I know that it was.
I feel better than I have in years....I am more active and energetic. I take yoga once a week (would go everyday if it was offered at a convenienent time- LOVE IT!) Try to Zumba 1-2 times a week, joined a softball team and walk/chase after my kids in between. I am doing the Chase Corp Challenge this coming Thursday with a team from work. 3.5 miles in Central Park - my goal is to finish in :59:59.
I keep trying to find this mystery place known as "Onederland", but it seems like I keep getting close and keep missing it. I have not been there since the 80s and don't remember what it looks like. My goal is to be there by my birthday (4th of July) but we'll see - 8 to go.....
As for food....
Breakfast: usually Oatmeal w/ protein powder added
Mid Am - cheese stick or fiber bar
Lunch - Lean Cuisine or whatever is left from last night's dinner (today is was some turkey meatballs)
PM - skim latte - a girl has got to have her Starbucks
Dinner - whatever hubby cooks - tonite is was baked chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes
Evening - usually a yogurt or something
Speaking of hubby - he is scheduled for his Realize Band surgery on 7/15 - so we will be banded together forever....
I love going to the IGTs although I have made it to only one so far...hoping to get to at least 1 over the summer now that hockey season is coming to an end.....
So that is me in 60 seconds.....looking forward to reading up on everyone else.....
