Congrats on your date !! Can't wait to see you on the Loser's Bench in the Winner's Circle.

Here is a list of stuff you could have - as long as it's ok with your Doctor and/or Nutritionists:

Ice Chips
Low-fat broth
Sugar-free Jello
Sugar-free juices (ie. Crystal Light)
Non-carbonated flavored waters
unsweetened decaffeinated ice tea
sugar-free popsicles

After a few days you'll probably be able to move onto

Skim milk (Skim Plus)
Vegetable juice (ex V-8 and/or tomato)
Low-fat cream soup (made with skim milk)
light smooth yogurt
light fat-free/sugar free ricotta
sugar-free/fat-free puddings (made with skim milk)
Apple sauce (natural - sugar free - no chunks)
whipped low fat cottage cheese
PROTEIN DRINK made with skim milk
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Glad to read you are following your Doctor's instructions. THAT'S THE KEY TO SUCCESS. You'll find each Doctor has their own philosphy - my advice always is stick to what your Doctor tells you.
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Yes I have noticed many doctors have many "rules"  I am just surprised by the many I have have talked or chatted with during the last year that don't require eating change or vitamins.....from the people that I have chatted with that had RNY and LAP for over 4-5 years they have filled me in that there are permanent changes you have to make for the weight loss to work and you have to abide by it for life.   I don't have a problem with a new life...!!!   OK rice is my only issues I love the stuff...ROFL

Welcome Licienne!

I am a patient in the same practice--Dr Goyal and Dr Louis did my RNY 2/17/10.   I met Dr Forrester in the hospital but my follow ups have all been with Dr. Louis.

We are also practically neighbors I live in New Providence on the border of BH.
