I had Dr Andrei for my lap band surgery in May of 2007. and in October of 2008 had surgery again for a prolapse of my band.  I now have a new surgeon closer to home.  The traveling was really stressing me out (Trenton to Livingston) and I was begining to feel like a number and would travel all that way for a fill and he would spend less than 10 minutes with me.  Now when I go to the new doctor we talk and discuss my concerns and I feel like I count.

See, i have the exact opposite with him... appts are always short, but its not just another #.. for me he knows everything.  I did see him a lotttt though, due to complications.  It used to be normal to hear from him on my cellphone at 630am in the hospital if i didnt see him.

He really is a execellent doctor and I received excellent care like I said It felt like I was being rushed in and out I think if I did not have to travel so far I would not have been concerned about the time he spent during my fills but I constantly worried about what if I really had a emergency would I be able to get there before something got serious.  I really was sad that I had to make a decision to change doctors, my husband was a big part of it too, he complained every time I had to go to a visit about traffic and it just wore on my nerves, now I keep him out of all my visits with Dr Noyan so he can not have a say after all it is my decision about my health, he never wanted me to have the surgery to begin with, so my stress levels have come down and I have been able to loss 14lbs since January and only 20 to go. How is you weight loss coming along? do you have the band or RNY.  Sometimes I wish I had the other surgery.  than I would not have had to change doctors, because I was going every 6 weeks. Have a great week and talk to you soon.

I had RNY.  My weight loss happened very fast, i was at 145lbs about 6 months out.  It was a lot on my body apparently.  Had complications, adhesions, intestine kinks, but im stabilized at 130lbs right now.  Its the perfect weight for me at this point.

I was up there every week to weigh in at one point, and while the commute is a ***** ive heard nothing but great stuff from the st. barnabas nursing staff on the 4700 unit everytime i am there, about him.

Me, I had my First RNY in 2/1/10  and a revision 3 weeks ago, because I developed scar tissue , Down 185 so far.  I love the office, the staff, and Dr. Andrie.  After both my surgeries, he called  me 3 times a day,  then after I was home every day 2 times,  then for 3 weeks, I got a cheery call every day from Andy,  How are you marie?  Are you nautious? Getting in Fluids? Going to bathroom? How is your pain?  Any concerns and Dr. Andrei called me immediately.  I was not even nervous for my revision,  because I trusted and love my Dr.  Makes all the difference in the world.  And I am greatful for Karrie, Shanon, Pam, Debbie and everyone else who helps me on this journey, OMG and Sherri!!!!!   I don't know if I would have been as successful with another doctor.  I have heard some horror stories.
Sincerely,  Marie
