OT: Sunday NJ Trivia (sorry it's late)
This is late because I'm one of the 'lucky' ones. We lost power, and since it's an all electric building, no heat, ho****er, etc, as well as sketchy phone service. I've been showering at my brothers 5 towns away! and have a half dozen various scented candles in use. Kinda smells like what I would imagine an old fashioned ***** house smelled like!!! and PSE&G called last night at 3:20AM, bless their souls....., with a pre-recorded message stating "Maybe Thursday!". AARRGGHH
here we are..... sorry about the delay!
The Ash Wednesday storm of 1962 was one of the most destructive natural disasters in NJ history. In all, it killed 40 people, injured more than 1,000 and caused hundreds of millions of dollars of property damage. Just in the state of NJ, some 45,000 homes were destroyed!
Kind of helps put this last week in perspective, right? Bad, but could have been worse! Mary
