need advice..... lots of nausea

i had my gastric bypass surgery 1-6-10   starting 2-3 weeks ago i have lots of nausea and dry heaving. zofran helps a little but i have no desire to drink....spent a week in the hospital.....my potasium was a little low and liver enzymes were elevated.....everything started to normalize except the nausea and dry heaving so they sent me home...........  ruled out gallbladder.........  anyone else go through this???? willl it ever end???

friend felt the same way. she was told she's not drinking enough water. being dehydrated mde her feel nausea all the time

Dehydration can cause nausea.
As for Zofran, if it doesn't seem to be working all that well, try Reglan, just don't stay on it long term.

Hey E- It's Alisa. This exact same thing happened to me and Nicole. We were in and out of the emergency room for IV fluids like every week. We simply were dehydrated. I didn't want to drink either but you have to. It's horrible I know but this lasted a long time.
