Bart Simpson's prank phone calls to Moe Szyslak in The Simpsons are based on a tape of real prank phone calls made in the 1970's by John Elmo and Jim Davidson to the Tube Bar in Jersey City, owned by Louis "Red" Deutsch. The callers would ask for fictitious peolple with silly names. A few classics: Al Coholic, Ben Dover, and Butchie Pantsdown.
