Dr Vaimakis is a highly skilled dr that saved my life and I will forever be grateful! Had it not been for her my daugther would not have a mother now. She is young and highly talented at what she does for someone her age. She is devoted to her career and to her patients. I know that you are going to have a list of people that she can go to but I would highly recommend her after my experience.
I had gastric bypass with Dr. Ballantyne in Hackensack University about 5 years ago! Last year I was pregnant and due 1/27 with my first child to be delivered at Englewood Hospital. I started getting sharp pains and thought it was contractions so I went to Englewood....lord behold it wasn't. I was in pain and nothing anyone can do because I was pregnant. My OB/GYN delivered my baby but still after that c-section pain came back almost immediately. No one knew what is what and a whole day passed and I was dying of a bad bowel obstruction. To make it worst the hospital staff thought I was having a reaction to anesthesia and said all I had to do was eat. At that point I was worse. Dr. Vaimakis was called to see me in the afternoon and came from her home to the hospital to attend me who at that point was delirious from all pain meds. She fixed me up, did a revision on my gastric bypass and after 5 days I was free to go home with my beautiful newborn daugther.
Hope this helps!
