Hackensack Hospital Support Group Question

Does anyone attend the HUMC bariatric support group?  A while back, I had heard it was mostly geared towards pre-ops, and winds up being an information session, rather than a post op sharing kind of session.  Is it still like that, or did they separate the pre-ops who are attending to meet a requirement?  I've always found my support here on line, on OH, but was wondering about in-person groups.  Any info would be appreciated.  Oh, also, is it open to everyone or only those who had surgery at HUMC?    Thanks, Mary

I just called and found out the next 2 support groups at HUMC are: Dec ember 1, 2011 and January 5, 2011 - they do NOT do a great job in the support group area, once you have had your surgery, left on your own... I used to go and stopped, but in need to get back on track.  Hope to see you there!
