It was so nice to be welcomed so warmly by you all, and it to see so many of you!  Wish I had more time to speak to you all individually, but special thanks to the ladies who showed me their ports (and insisted I feel them too!)  to Rubyblueeyes and Patrick for sharing both ends of the weight loss surgery spectrum (seasoned vet & newbie), and everyone else who offered me encouragement and congrats.

I'm really looking forward to this Tuesday, and am not as apprehensive about the surgery and recovery!

See you at the next NJIGT!

I agree, it was great to meet everyone last night as well.  Tom, thank you for taking the time to organize the get together's, I think it is great.

To those that have upcoming surgery this week, I wish you all the very best.  You are going to be thrilled with your decision to have the surgery.

I hope to see you all soon.

Geoff

It was so awesome meeting you too!

It just truly amazes me how we can all bond so well as we have one thing in common, our surgeries! I am so grateful for these dinners, just what the doctor ordered for me last night!!

Good luck to the folks who are having surgery next week....please keep us posted!!!

Thanks Casola for organizing these...no matter what they say about you, you're alllllright!

Hi All, My surgery is tomorrow and I am looking to meet people who understand this all.  My family is supportive, but my husband has never weighed more than 150 pounds.  Need I say more.  Please invite me to your next get together.  Marie in South Plainfield
Sincerely,  Marie

where do you guys usually meet at? I am going for surgery on March 1st. I had originally planned on having RNY, but I changed my mind and decided to go with the LAP BAND.

The location changes each month from North to South so everyone has an opportunity to come.  This past one was in Northern Jersey, and the next one planned is March.  TCasola usually sets up all the details.
I just attened my first NJIGT in Janurary as a preop newbie, and I can tell you that I felt welcomed and instantly accepted.  I look forward to meeting you at one as well!

Good luck with your WLS journey :)
