Just to update everyone on my situation... I first posted about what surgery should I have and I have decided upon The Band... I finally put in my paper work last week (Horizon BCBS of NJ) and yesterday I got the letter in the mail.. I have been APPROVED! F-YeaH!! So next week I set up my appointment with Dr. Daniel Davis and finalize my date (which the secratary said early to mid october looks like it will be... ) 
CONGRATULATIONS GENTLEJ. Post again when it gets closer to your date so you'll get that support as well.

Between now and your surgery date, you will probably have some "last supper" meals. Enjoy yourself. BUT, also you should try to use this time to learn as much about the post surgery diet as possible and start to incorporate these concepts into your meals NOW. Also, no time like the present to start an exercise program so that you will have better stamina for recovery later.
