Hello I'm Rather New..

Hi everyone! I'm quite new here...I started posting on the WLS in Your 20's Forum, but wanted to make friends with some New Jersey people as well.

I'm 23, from Ocean County, and just had gastric bypass a week ago on July 13th. So far so good. Not in a lot of pain, just sore. I'm still on a clear liquid diet, but hopefully that will change soon...I'm hungry!!

Does anyone go to the Support Group meetings at CentraState in Freehold?

Welcome Jenny!  It gets better...time flies by very quickly and you will be eating again before you know it!

hello, may name is marco i just had my surgery on july 15.  i am with u on the clear diet and protien shakes. what shakes are u takeing i find it hard to get 3 of these things down a day... i hope it will get better...

My surgeon told me to drink Isopure for my protein so that's what I've been doing so far. What are you drinking? 

My surgeon was Dr. Morris Washington from Central Jersey Bariatrics, they are located in Freehold. Who is yours?

there is a great support group that meets the first friday of every month
at community medical center in toms river

also a smaller group the third monday of every month at the center for
healthy living at kimball medical center

i had my surgery three years ago and live in the manchester.toms river area

Welcome.I had gastric bypass on 8/14/2009 inAtlantic City with Dr Onopchencko. Easiest to get down proteins new whey bullets 3.5 oz come in 25 gms and 42 gm size, very sweet but a sip at a time followed by sip of water it's doable.
I saw surgeon and was advanced to full liquids, cream of chicken soup never tasted so good.
No info on support group at Centrastate.
