Dr. Goyal

One of my relatives is considering RNY with Dr. Goyal in Union.  Any feedback, positive or negative, would be appreciated.  Does he hold seminars?  Does he charge a program fee?  How has your follow up been with him?  Thanks in advance for any replies, I appreciate it and will pass it along.

Dr. Goyal has been my doctor since 2006. I had lap band surgery in January 2008. I went to several doctors before I decided to go with Dr. Goyal. He does have seminars every month alternating between Union and Hoboken. There is no program fee. Your relative can e-mail me if she has any questions.

I considered using him but when I attended a support group he ran at Overlook, there were only 3 people in attendance...that sort of turned me off, otherwise, I hear he's great. I think attending support groups are crucial to success after wls.

 Dr. Goyal is doing my LGB on August 19th. I found him through Aetna in March. Have attended his seminar and gone through the whole program. No fee, and I've found the staff to be great so far. We'll see what the aftercare is like soon enough...
